So it’s the first day of the quote challenge. I have been nominated for the second time by two fellow bloggers. Happy to accept, thought might break 3 consecutive day rule.
- Three quotes for three days.
- Three nominees each day (no repetition).
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Inform the nominees.
Today’s quote is
“The sincere person is the one who hides his good deeds just like he hides his evil deeds.”
People often deceive themselves by becoming show-offs under the pretence of making casual conversation. There are individuals who cannot sit with others without saying: “I did this and I did that… I spent so much in charity.” Some people fall victim to the opposite affliction. They become so scared of showing off that they avoid performing good deeds because of it. They have jumped from the frying pan into the fire, so to speak.
Genuine sincerity is to be concerned with humanity and to disregard the credit altogether, neither performing deeds because of tit nor abstaining from acts on its account
